Next Tuesday the 23rd of March, marks a year since the beginning of the first ‘Lockdown’ at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in our country. The Church has asked that this day be kept as a ‘Day of Reflection’, where we can pray for those who have died or been affected by the pandemic in any way. Therefore, next Tuesday I will be celebrating the 9.30am daily Mass at St Ethelbert’s, with a special formulary given to us by the Church for use in a pandemic. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed after Mass and the church will remain open for private prayer ending with Benediction and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 12 noon.St William of York will also be open on Tuesday for Exposition and private prayer from 6.00pm to 8.00pm concluding with Benediction and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome to attend for prayer during this time.
